A little bit about me…
I was born in New Jersey but spent most of my childhood in Ohio. I attended “THE” Ohio State University and majored in Nutrition. If you shout “OH” I will respond with an “IO!”
I lived in the south, as an Air Force military wife, for six years. After our first child was born my husband was hired by the airlines and we headed north, to New England. Fifteen years later we packed up and moved south again, to Texas. Hubby is now retired, but I am still the chief cook and bottle washer in our household. More importantly, I am the ‘keeper of our memories.’ I use artwork, words, and photos to document our life journey. Having said that, I have never done a scrapbook page layout!
While I have primarily been a stay at home mom, I have worn many hats. I have taught swimming and trained instructors for the Red Cross, was a Nationally certified Swim Official, and have logged more volunteer hours through our church, schools, and swim teams, than I can count. Our children were highly competitive swimmers so I have spent the better part of my adult life transporting them to and from school, swim practices, and weekend long competitions. I suspect that if you looked closely you would find some chlorine in my veins! After my children went off to college, I worked for several years as management at a Williams-Sonoma store.
I am currently on Design Teams for Honey Bee Stamps and Trinity Stamps and have guest designed on Simon Says Stamp and Flickr for Simon Says Stamp. I have also taught an occasional art class here and there.
Today, I can be found at home creating art, cooking, reading a good book, enjoying my grandchildren, and playing games with family and friends. I am always up for travels and making new memories!
