I started today’s card by stamping the four balloon shapes onto #80 Neenah Classic Cardstock, with Copic friendly Simon Says Stamp Black Intense Ink. I wanted a fifth balloon so I formed the oval balloon into an elongated shape on my MISTI door and stamped it.
The balloons were colored with Copic markers.
Red Heart: R30, R32, R35, R37, R39
Yellow Oval: Y11, Y13, Y15, Y19
Blue Round: B21, B23, B26, B29
Purple Round: V12, V15, V17, V28
Green Elongated: G00, G03, G05, G07, G09
This set has a coordinating die set but I don’t have it yet so I fussy cut them using Ek Success Scissors.
Before I removed my stamps, I stamped them onto Inkadinkadoo Masking Paper and cut out the insides of each balloon.
I placed the masking paper over my stamped images and prepped each balloon opening with an Embossing Powder Pouch. I then stamped the falling confetti stamp over each opening, using Versa Mark clear ink. I removed the mask and added WOW Vanilla Sparkle Embossing Powder to the images and heated them with a heat gun.
I stamped three of the sentiments onto another piece of cardstock. I added curly lines to extend the tails and colored them in with a black sharpie. I needed two more plain lines, so I drew them as well and cut them all out.
I needed a card long enough to accommodate the long balloon tie sentiments. I cut a 9” x 7” piece from #110 Neenah Classic Cardstock and folded it in half lengthwise, forming a 9” x 3.5” card base. This card will fit in a normal business size envelope.
To build the card, I cut a smaller panel from #80 Neenah Classic and adhered it to a slightly larger Neenah Desert Storm panel. This was attached to the cardbase. I used a Kokuyo Tape runner to adhere all the card panels.
The balloons were attached to the panel with Gina K Connect glue. I added Scotch Foam Tape to the back of the red and yellow balloons for some added dimension. The sentiments were added using the glue. The wet glue gave me a little more time to move them around and line them up.
I realized that I had forgotten to add the little bow ties so I stamped them, fussy cut them, and glued them to the base of each balloon.
You can either buy the Stamp Set with Coordinating Dies or the Stamp Set alone. I will have another card using this set on Sunday, so join me then for another look at this exclusive STAMPtember collaboration set. But I wouldn’t wait too long to snap up this set!
